Amazing Trek with Stunning Mountain Views
A fabulous trek through a wide range of eco-niches and geographical zones. Enjoy amazing views of the majestic snow-capped peaks of the Cordillera Urubamba and the Cordillera Vilcanota, as well as the ceremonial complex of Ollantaytambo as you descend from the Inca quarry that provided the construction material for Ollantaytambo down to the Urubamba river. Day 1
We collect you from your hotel and drive to the Pacchar Valley, near Ollantaytambo. After around two hours we arrive at the small hamlet of Soqma, the starting point of our trek. We begin our ascent and after climbing close to Perolniyoq waterfall we will visit Corimarca, an Inca ruin in the proximity of our campsite.

Day 2
Today your efforts will reward you with breathtaking views of the snowy peaks of Veronica, Pachatusan, Ausangate, Chicon, Pumahuanca and the colorful fields of Chinchero once you reach high Puna grassland. This experience will exhilarate you will inspire you to continue with the challenging hike. Lunch will be served next to a stunning lagoon that provides water to the water channel that we will follow, a good example of the impressive Inca hydraulic system. This water channel will take us to our campsite.

Day 3
We start early in order to reach the Sun Gate or Inti Punku, a spectacular Inca construction with splendid views of Mount Veronica and Mount Choquetacarpo, important tutelary spirits. On our descent, we pass the quarry of Ollantaytambo, where we will see remains of rocks that the Incas were working on, which were destined for the main temple of the ceremonial complex of Ollantaytambo. We will also see Chullpas or mausoleums. The trail continues downhill all the way to the Cachicata community where we will spend the night.

Day 4
After breakfast, we will go to Ollantaytambo station by private vehicle to board the train to Aguas Calientes. Today your guide will show you all the hidden corners of the ‘Lost Cities of the Incas’ of Machu Picchu and explain about its rediscovery and possible functions. Afterward, you may visit the Inca bridge or explore on your own. At the end of our visit, we will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes for lunch and then board the train to return to Ollantaytambo where our private transport will be waiting to take us back to the city of Cusco.
