Explore the amazing desert attractions of Nazca with its mysterious geoglyphs whilst using one of the most beautiful country hotels of Peru as your home base, a former hacienda with delightful gardens on the outskirts of the town. Day 1
We pick you up from your hotel in Lima for the 7-hour drive on the Panamericana to the desert oasis of Nazca, once an important center of the ancient Peruvian cultures. We will stop for lunch on the way and if time allows, visit one of the Ica vineyards to sample some delicious Peruvian wines. We will take our dinner at our hotel in Nazca. Day 2
Today you may fly over the spectacular Nazca lines. Paying an upgrade you may fly even over the more remote Palpa lines. Today we will also explore the impressive archeological complex of Cahuachi, once an important pilgrimage, and some of the ancient underground aqueducts of the Nazca culture. By constructing underground water channels the people of the Nazca culture were able to reduce the evaporation rate of their precious irrigation water originating from the Andes, an important aspect that made the creation of an oasis possible. Day 3
We travel through the desert by 4×4 wheel drive or sand buggy to the nature sanctuary of San Fernando on the coast. Here you may sight sea lions, pelicans, turkey vultures, the rare Humboldt penguin and possibly even condors and vicuñas. We will spend some time on this tranquil and beautiful beach and will also take our picnic lunch there. Hotel in Nazca. Full board.

Day 4
Today is a free day to relax at your beautiful hotel in Nazca. Enjoy the swimming pool and gardens or, if you feel like it, you may book another optional excursion to explore the cemetery of Chauchilla or the visit the Santa Fe Lines or the Inca site of Paredones. Day 5
After breakfast, return to Lima, visiting the desert oasis of Huacachina on the way as well as the fascinating Ica museum. We take our lunch in a restaurant overlooking the Huacachina lagoon before continuing our journey to Lima where we arrive in the late afternoon. End of all services.
