Our two week trip to Peru organized by Andean Spirit Destinations was a highly enjoyable experience for us. The planning and execution of our tour were perfect, we did not have to worry about anything at all, as all our needs were well looked after. Our guide, Oda, was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the Incas and she explained many intricate details about the past and present cultures of this fascinating country to us. We felt very safe with her and also our excellent driver.

The choice of the hotels on our journey was fantastic! Our trip led us from Machupicchu to Nazca in the desert and included a flight over the famous Nazca geoglyphs. Above all we enjoyed our several days stay at the beautiful Andean Spirit Lodge in Limatambo. We loved the tranquility and the gorgeous gardens full of flowers and organic fruit and veg, not to mention the splendid views of the snowy peak nearby. The cook was amazing and spoilt us with a variety of his gourmet creations.

The impressive sceneries and the friendly people we met on this trip will stay with us for a long time. Thank you so much!!

We booked two fantastic customized trips with Andean Spirit Destinations and would definitely recommend them! The beauty and the variety of landscapes of this country have deeply impressed us: the white city of Arequipa with its grandiose colonial architecture, the Colca canyon with awesome sightings of condors, snow-covered extinct volcanoes, and vicuñas in the highlands… We particularly enjoyed the hospitality of the local Quechua families (the owners’ godchildren!), especially on Taquile Island at Lake Titicaca. We felt elated by the warmth and acceptance with which we were greeted., We had the best soup ever for lunch! The local music and dances we witnessed were fantastic. Another highlight was our visit to a wildlife sanctuary at the coast near Nazca. It was incredible to see so many fabulous sea lions, pelicans, condors, and even Humboldt penguins! What an awesome journey we had, making many wonderful new friends!.

Our 10–day trip to Manu National Park with Andean Spirit Destinations was an unforgettable adventure. The beautiful landscapes, the amazing sounds of the forest and the exuberance of vegetation left a deep impression on us. Our highly skilled and experienced guide gave us great insights into the abundant wildlife:

numerous monkey species, white and black caimans, turtles, colorful parrots and many exotic birds. We particularly enjoyed observing a family group of giant otters on one of the oxbow lakes. Troops of monkeys moving through the treetops were common sights, too. Another highlight was interacting with the Matsiguenka Indians at their Lodge deep inside the Park and learning about the medicinal uses of the trees and plants from them. During the whole of our trip, we were well looked after by the company team – the meals were delicious, everything was freshly prepared.

We hope to go on another journey in Peru and will definitely use this company again.

Never having been on an organized tour, I wasn’t sure what to expect – and was already a little nervous traveling so far from the US. I need not have worried – Oda and Armando were absolutely amazing and managed every detail from the moment we were picked up at the airport in Cusco by our driver who navigated the crowded city streets not to mention the narrow curvy mountain roads with extraordinary skill and ease. Oda was with us and always available to ensure we were safe and happy – from finding us last minute alternate accommodations to the hostel we (regrettably) chose on our own, to a doctor visit to check on blood pressure and oxygen levels. Oda’s extreme care allowed us to overcome small obstacles inherent in international travel and make the most of every minute. Her knowledge of the historical sites was absolutely incredible – she is a true professional. Definitely recommend!

Our five day trip from Cusco to the Manu forest was incredibly well organised. The evening before we left, our guide Oda met us for a briefing and told us what to expect and went over our itinerary which was helpful. The lodges that we stayed in were really well chosen and very comfortable and relaxing with some excellent food. Our driver Marco was excellent too and clearly an expert at driving on the narrow and rugged tracks!

Oda’s knowledge of the flora, fauna, history, culture and anthopology of the areas we visited was fantastic and brought so much more to the whole trip. Our walks in the cloud forest and jungle were incredible with Oda able to tell us what each animal, bird and plant was and more information besides.

I really can’t recommend Andean Spirit Destinations highly enough. It was the trip of a lifetime.
